We are in need of a Project Manager to join our team. This role is specifically focused on the Senior Living sector, providing an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our older generation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction process, from initial planning to completion, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires a thorough understanding of the construction industry, project management principles, and a unique sensitivity to the specific needs of Senior Living facilities.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement project plans, including budgeting and scheduling, for the construction of Senior Living facilities.
2. Coordinate and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project milestones are met.
3. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality controls.
4. Foster strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery.
5. Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, and manage any changes in project scope, schedule, or costs.
6. Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
7. Ensure all construction activities adhere to legal regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
8. Collaborate with the design team to create functional, comfortable, and appealing living spaces for seniors.
9. Use hospitality experience to ensure a positive and welcoming environment in all facilities.
Qualifications
1. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management within the construction industry, with experience in senior living, multifamily, or hospitality - wood frame is a plus!
2. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
3. Proven experience in managing the complete construction project lifecycle.
4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, materials, and legal regulations.
5. Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
6. Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
8. Experience in the hospitality industry, with a strong understanding of how to create welcoming, comfortable, and functional environments.
9. Excellent client service skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
10. PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
