As a Permanent Project Manager - Construction, you will play a crucial role in our dynamic, fast-paced construction industry. This role is a perfect fit for those who thrive in managing multiple projects and teams, ensuring each project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to bring their vision to life, from the initial planning stages to the final handover. This position offers an excellent opportunity to apply your construction management, project management, and budgeting skills in a challenging, rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

1. Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications, and budget.
2. Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates.
3. Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones, and monitor progress against established schedules.
4. Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
5. Develop and implement quality control programs.
6. Represent company on matters such as business services and union contracts negotiation.
7. Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.
8. Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions.
9. Hire and supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, including direct responsibility for all resource allocation and management functions.
3. Proven experience in managing the budgeting process and financial oversight of large-scale construction projects.
4. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage a diverse team of professionals and subcontractors.
6. Advanced problem-solving skills, with a knack for making strategic project decisions.
7. Proficiency in construction management software.
8. Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings, and plan sets.
9. Advanced knowledge of construction contract and labor laws, safety regulations, and building codes.
10. Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification is a plus.
