We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Permanent Assistant Project Manager in Healthcare Construction. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced and rapidly growing team that is dedicated to creating state-of-the-art healthcare facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in managing large-scale, ground-up construction projects, as well as expansion projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be required to:

1. Assist the Project Manager in all phases of project management including design, construction, occupancy, quality control, staffing, and budget management.
2. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
3. Assist in preparing contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
4. Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings.
5. Assist in managing financial aspects of contracts to protect the company’s interest while simultaneously maintaining a good relationship with the client.
6. Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, and local and state regulations are met.
7. Assist in the planning, scheduling, or coordinating construction project activities to meet deadlines.
8. Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
9. Implement effective communication strategy and ensure proper documentation.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:

1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in the construction industry, with a focus on healthcare construction.
2. Proven experience in managing ground-up and expansion projects.
3. A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
4. Strong understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
5. Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
6. Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and construction/ project management software.
7. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
8. A team player with leadership abilities.
9. PMP or an equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
