Job Details

We are seeking a Project Manager (Heavy Civil) with a strong background in the construction industry specifically focused on infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing heavy civil construction projects, including highways, bridges, underground utilities, and concrete structures. This position requires a hands-on approach, exceptional leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail. The Project Manager will have a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and overseeing the execution of various construction projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all aspects of heavy civil construction projects from initial planning to completion.
2. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
3. Review and analyze architectural and engineering plans to ensure they meet project requirements.
4. Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and deadlines.
5. Ensure all construction activities comply with health and safety regulations.
6. Prepare regular reports on project progress and present them to stakeholders.
7. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals.
8. Solve any problems that may arise and make necessary decisions throughout the construction process.
9. Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
10. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the status of each project at all times and be able to provide updates as required.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management roles in the construction industry, specifically in heavy civil construction projects.
3. Proven experience in managing the construction of highways, bridges, underground utilities, and concrete structures.
4. Excellent knowledge of construction project management principles, practices, and techniques.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills.
6. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a strategic thinking mindset.
7. Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
8. Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
9. Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
10. Professional Project Management (PMP) certification is a plus.
