We are seeking a seasoned Permanent Project Manager to join our dynamic team in the K-12 construction branch of the Engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects. They will have a strong track record in managing commercial projects and construction management, with a particular focus on K-12 education facilities. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, and the incumbent will be expected to bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team.

We are seeking a seasoned Permanent Project Manager to join our dynamic team in the K-12 construction branch of the Engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects. They will have a strong track record in managing commercial projects and construction management, with a particular focus on K-12 education facilities. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, and the incumbent will be expected to bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the execution of construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
- Develop and manage all aspects of project engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues.
- Set and continually manage project expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team members and stakeholders.
- Oversee the development of detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within the scope, and within budget.
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in the construction industry, specifically with commercial projects and construction management.
- Proven experience in managing K-12 construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles.
- Excellent knowledge of construction contract administration, understanding of public contract code, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of construction drawings, equipment and construction.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Must be willing to travel as needed to construction sites.
