A well-established mechanical contractor based in the DFW area is seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee and execute commercial HVAC and plumbing construction projects. With a strong reputation for delivering high-performance mechanical systems across healthcare, industrial, and commercial sectors, this company offers an exciting environment for professionals looking to manage complex projects from preconstruction through closeout.
In this role, you'll be responsible for supervising project execution, managing budgets and schedules, collaborating with internal and external teams, and ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning and execution of HVAC and plumbing projects across various industries
  • Manage multiple projects of varying scope and size simultaneously
  • Monitor contracts, project scope, and subcontractor agreements to ensure alignment with goals
  • Work closely with field supervision to plan labor and project schedules
  • Review project documents, drawings, and specifications to maintain compliance
  • Prepare project budgets, schedules of values, and cost tracking systems
  • Oversee procurement of materials, subcontractors, and equipment
  • Ensure on-site safety standards are followed in coordination with company Safety personnel
  • Manage project billing and payment applications, including subcontractor invoices
  • Collaborate with design teams on design-build and design-assist projects
  • Develop strong client relationships and support business development efforts
  • Conduct monthly financial analysis and overbilling strategies to ensure healthy cash flow
  • Finalize project closeouts and warranty items efficiently

Requirements:
  • 3–5+ years of experience managing commercial mechanical projects
  • Solid understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and building automation systems
  • Experience with both new construction and renovations
  • Strong knowledge of contract negotiation and construction change orders
  • Proven leadership of project engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to navigate high-pressure deadlines and shifting priorities

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Timberline, MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and CAD
  • Experience in design-build and design-assist environments
  • Familiarity with submittal/shop drawing coordination and O&M documentation
