We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in leading our mechanical contracting projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the construction process, including coordinating with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals, to ensure that our projects are completed on time and within budget. As a Project Manager, you will be at the heart of our operations, driving the success of our projects and contributing to our overall growth and reputation in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all mechanical contracting projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure that all project requirements are met.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost estimates.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of project teams, including assigning tasks, reviewing work, and providing guidance and feedback.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, and resolve any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure that all project documentation, including contracts, plans, and reports, are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards, regulations, and laws.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project progress and performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry, with a focus on mechanical contracting.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing construction projects from start to finish.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project management software and other relevant tools.
  • A commitment to safety and quality, with a thorough understanding of relevant standards, regulations, and laws.
