We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Permanent Project Manager to join our thriving construction team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader in the construction industry, with a strong background in various aspects of construction management including concrete restoration, budgeting, contract management, scheduling, procurement, commercial construction, preservation, new construction, waterproofing, and caulking. This role is pivotal to the successful execution of our construction projects and requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
2. Review and interpret project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work, budgeting requirements, and resources needed.
3. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring that all parties are fully aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
4. Prepare and negotiate contracts with clients and vendors, ensuring that all terms and conditions are clearly defined and agreed upon.
5. Develop and implement effective scheduling strategies to ensure that all projects are completed on time.
6. Manage the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring that all necessary resources are available when needed.
7. Supervise all onsite and offsite construction to ensure compliance with building and safety regulations.
8. Coordinate and manage the preservation and restoration of concrete structures.
9. Oversee the new construction process, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standard.
10. Implement and manage waterproofing and caulking processes to ensure the durability and longevity of our construction projects.
11. Regularly review project progress with stakeholders, providing detailed reports and updates as required.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully completed projects.
2. Extensive knowledge and experience in concrete restoration, budgeting, contract management, scheduling, procurement, commercial construction, preservation, new construction, waterproofing, and caulking.
3. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team of construction professionals.
4. Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and make effective decisions under pressure.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.
7. Proficient in construction project management software and other relevant computer applications.
8. A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
9. Relevant certifications in construction project management will be an advantage.
