Job Details
A leading engineering and construction firm is looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee medium- and high-voltage substation and transmission line construction projects. This role involves managing all phases of the project lifecycle—from initial planning and budgeting through procurement, scheduling, construction, and final commissioning—while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including budgets and schedules
Coordinate communication among clients, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
Monitor project financials, track costs, review invoices, and ensure contract compliance
Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project continuity
Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and environmental regulations
Conduct regular site visits to oversee quality, safety, and progress
Prepare detailed project reports for leadership and stakeholders
Lead post-project evaluations to drive continuous improvement
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years managing high voltage electrical projects (substations and transmission lines)
Strong knowledge of construction methods, equipment, and industry standards
Experience with EPC or utility turnkey projects and project management software (MS Project, Primavera P6)
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
PMP certification and safety credentials (OSHA 30, First Aid) a plus
