Our company is seeking an experienced Permanent Project Manager to join our dynamic team in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing all phases of construction projects, from initial conception and planning to completion and handover. Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
2. Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
3. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
4. Meet contractual conditions of performance.
5. Review the work progress on a daily basis.
6. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
7. Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain necessary permits and licenses.
8. Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
9. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
10. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
11. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
12. Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field.
2. Proven working experience in construction management for 5+ years.
3. Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
4. Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
5. Familiarity with construction and project management software programs.
6. Ability to plan and see the 'big picture'.
7. Competent in conflict and crisis management.
8. Excellent time and project management skills.
9. Leadership and human resources management skills.
10. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
11. Strong customer service orientation.
12. Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
13. Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
14. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
