This opportunity is ideal for a Project Manager with 5+ years of experience and a strong background in building automation, Building Automation Systems (BAS), controls, and mechanical systems—or equivalent expertise.
You’ll guide projects from planning through commissioning and closeout, partnering with customers, engineers, contractors, and field teams to deliver reliable, high-performing building systems. Bring your technical knowledge, leadership, and problem-solving skills to a role where your decisions make a tangible impact.
Responsibilities
Manage the full project lifecycle for building automation, BAS, controls, and mechanical construction projects.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and delivery milestones.
Coordinate with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, vendors, and internal teams to keep projects aligned and moving forward.
Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and scopes of work to confirm technical requirements and identify potential gaps.
Oversee procurement, equipment delivery, installation coordination, system integration, testing, and commissioning activities.
Track project costs, forecasts, change orders, and progress to protect financial performance and contractual commitments.
Identify risks early, resolve field challenges, and implement practical solutions that minimize delays and rework.
Lead project meetings and communicate clear updates on schedules, budgets, quality, and outstanding issues.
Promote compliance with applicable codes, project specifications, quality standards, and site safety requirements.
Coordinate client training, final documentation, punch-list completion, and project handover.
Qualifications
5+ years of project management experience in construction, building automation, BAS, controls, mechanical systems, or a closely related field.
Hands-on knowledge of building automation systems, HVAC controls, mechanical equipment, and system integration, or equivalent technical experience.
Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships from kickoff through closeout.
Ability to interpret construction drawings, mechanical plans, controls schematics, specifications, and contract documents.
Strong understanding of construction processes, installation coordination, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Excellent communication, negotiation, organization, and team leadership skills.
Proven ability to prioritize competing demands, anticipate challenges, and deliver results in a fast-paced construction environment.
Proficiency with project management software, scheduling tools, and standard business applications.
A degree or technical qualification in construction management, engineering, building systems, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent practical experience is welcomed.
PMP certification, relevant controls training, or familiarity with BAS communication protocols such as BACnet or Modbus is a plus.
