We are seeking a dynamic Project Manager to join our team in the thriving Construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with a background in residential construction and handyman services to oversee and manage multiple construction projects from conception to completion.
Responsibilities:
As the Project Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Leading and managing all aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, planning, and execution.
2. Coordinating and directing construction workers and subcontractors to ensure quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints are met.
3. Reviewing the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
4. Overseeing all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
5. Liaising with clients, architects, construction workers, engineers, and inspectors to ensure the project aligns with the client's vision and meets all regulatory requirements.
6. Analyzing, managing, and mitigating risks, and solving any problems that may arise.
7. Ensuring the construction project is completed on time and within budget, and that it meets or exceeds expectations.
8. Preparing internal and external reports pertaining to job status and progress.
9. Planning ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
10. Ensuring all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a project management role within the construction industry, specifically residential construction.
3. Proven experience as a handyman with a broad range of construction skills.
4. Strong knowledge of construction processes, means, and methods.
5. Understanding of construction management processes, including budgeting, project coordination, quality control, and safety management.
6. Proficiency in construction project management software.
7. Excellent knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, quality standards, and building codes.
8. Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
9. Ability to plan and see the “big picture” while also focusing on the details.
10. Competent in conflict and crisis management.
11. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
12. A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
