We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Project Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management, from initial conception to completion, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This position requires a strong background in negotiation, design and build, project budgeting, and managing GC. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex projects to a high standard.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and manage all aspects of project engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues.
2. Set clear objectives and define the scope of each project, breaking complex projects down into manageable tasks.
3. Negotiate with stakeholders to obtain resources, budgets, and timelines.
4. Manage the design and build process, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
5. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align project objectives and strategies.
6. Manage project budget, including tracking expenses and ensuring financial efficiency.
7. Oversee the management of General Contractors (GC), ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
8. Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables.
9. Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
10. Review proposed modifications on project plans, including meeting with interested parties to approve and implement beneficial changes.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a project management role within the Manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience in negotiation, design and build, project budgeting, and managing GC.
4. Proficient in project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
5. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of management.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and act tactically.
8. Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines.
9. Professional Project Management Certification from accredited intuition is preferred (e.g., PMP or equivalent).
10. Experience in Lean Manufacturing principles and practices will be an added advantage.
