We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Project Manager to join our team in the construction industry. This role is pivotal in managing and executing construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, budgeting, and supervising construction projects in a timely and cost-effective manner. This role requires expertise in strategic planning, commercial construction, estimating, budgeting, and contract management. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation.
2. Allocate resources for assigned projects.
3. Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
4. Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
5. Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs.
6. Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
7. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
8. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
9. Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
10. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
11. Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
12. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
13. Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management or a related field.
3. Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
4. Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
5. Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
6. Familiarity with construction/ project management software.
7. Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
8. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
9. A team player with leadership abilities.
10. PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
11. Proven experience in strategic planning, commercial construction, estimating, budgeting, and contract management.
12. Capable of managing multiple projects with minimal supervision.
