Job Details

Our client is seeking a project superintendent to lead jobs from planning to completion. Types of projects include routine shutdowns, rebuilds, emergency repairs, and retrofits, primarily recovery boilers and power boilers.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage completion of job scope on site, including the following tasks:
o With the help of dedicated managers, ensure safety and QC requirements are being followed
o Organize and dedicate your crews according to the scope of work within the given timeframe. Work is typically around-the-clock and time-sensitive
o Collaborate with Project Managers to update cost and schedule daily
o Communicate updates and progress reports to client personnel
o Work with Office Managers to ensure all rental equipment and subcontractors are ordered and available before the job starts.
o Manage subcontractors including scaffolding, refractory, insulation, cranes, etc.

Provide experienced foreman / secondary supervision and all craft roles (boilermakers, structural welders, tube welders, riggers, and support labor). Size of crew varies from job to job and ranges from 5 to 250 per job.

Experience required:

  • 10+ years as a superintendent or general foreman in construction and maintenance of boilers.
  • Knowledge of ASME and NBIC codes, as well as OSHA safety requirements.
  • General understanding of rigging, no engineering background necessary.
