We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Property Accountant - Supervisor to join our rapidly growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee and manage the financial aspects of our diverse portfolio, which includes affordable housing, apartments, and mixed-use properties. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the accounting and finance department, providing key expertise in general ledger accounting, accruals, and balance sheet management. Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage all accounting operations for our portfolio of properties, including affordable housing, apartments, and mixed-use properties.
2. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
3. Maintain the general ledger, ensuring its accuracy and completeness.
4. Manage and execute the accrual process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
5. Perform balance sheet reconciliations, identifying any discrepancies and taking appropriate action.
6. Supervise and mentor a team of property accountants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
7. Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and procedures.
8. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
9. Participate in annual budget preparation and financial forecasting.
10. Conduct regular financial audits and prepare audit reports.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, with a specific focus on affordable housing, apartments, and mixed-use properties.
3. Proven experience in managing general ledger, accruals, and balance sheets.
4. Solid understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles.
5. Strong leadership skills and experience in supervising a team.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. CPA certification is preferred but not required.
