Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and systems.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP, and other relevant regulations.
  • Manage budgets, track financial performance, and provide financial guidance to various departments.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement automated solutions where applicable.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical growth.
  • Support special projects, system implementations, and strategic initiatives as directed by leadership.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations (GAAP), and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Power Query, RPA) is a plus.
  • Previous experience managing accounting teams in a multi-entity or real estate environment.
