We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Property Accounting Manager to join our fast-paced and innovative Accounting + Finance team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to manage and oversee the financial activities related to our property portfolio, focused in the commercial real estate space.
Responsibilities:
As a Property Accounting Manager, you will be tasked with:
1. Overseeing and managing the month-end close process, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
2. Performing and overseeing the completion of CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations.
3. Conducting regular reconciliations of all property accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
4. Preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
5. Developing and managing the annual budgeting and forecasting process for all properties.
6. Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and laws related to property accounting.
7. Liaising with internal and external auditors, facilitating any necessary audits.
8. Implementing and maintaining internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
9. Collaborating with other departments to streamline processes, improve efficiencies, and achieve organizational goals.
10. Mentoring and coaching a team of property accountants, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following:
1. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or other relevant professional certification is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting or a related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
3. Proven experience with CAM reconciliations and the month-end close process.
