We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Contract Property Claims Adjuster to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. You will be responsible for investigating, negotiating, and settling property claims. This is a contract position that offers a competitive compensation package and the opportunity to work with a team of professionals who are committed to excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Promptly and effectively manage, investigate, and resolve property claims, including assessing policy coverage, inspecting damages, and negotiating settlements.
  • Handle a high volume of claims efficiently and accurately, ensuring all claim activities are accurately documented in the claim file.
  • Leverage your expertise in Xactimate to estimate repair costs for property damages.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining a professional demeanor while handling complex and stressful situations.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members, sharing knowledge and experience to improve overall team performance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Participate in catastrophe response teams, handling catastrophe claims as needed.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards of business ethics and conduct.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a property claims adjuster.
  • Must possess a valid 620 license.
  • Proven experience with Xactimate is required.
  • Previous catastrophe experience is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Strong ability to make sound decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable working in a team environment as well as independently.
  • High degree of initiative and strong ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Must be local to Fort Lauderdale
