We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Proposal Manager to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the proposal development process, from the pre-solicitation phase to submission, in line with our company's strategic objectives. This role requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional project management skills, and a thorough understanding of the construction industry. The Proposal Manager will work closely with various teams including engineering, marketing, and executive leadership to ensure all proposals are high-quality, competitive, and align with our company's vision and goals.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the entire proposal process, from identifying opportunities to submitting final proposals, ensuring all deadlines are met.
2. Collaborate with various teams to gather necessary information and materials for proposals.
3. Edit, write, and design persuasive proposal materials using Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, and SharePoint.
4. Analyze RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs to understand client requirements and ensure all proposals meet these requirements.
5. Develop and implement proposal strategies and themes to increase our win rate.
6. Lead proposal review and debrief sessions, providing feedback and implementing changes to improve future proposals.
7. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of our company's offerings, industry trends, and client needs.
8. Utilize marketing skills to enhance proposal messages and create compelling narratives.
9. Solve problems that arise during the proposal process, implementing solutions that ensure the timely submission of high-quality proposals.
10. Manage proposal database, ensuring all information is up to date and easily accessible.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal management, preferably in the construction industry.
3. Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, and SharePoint.
5. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
6. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to understand and respond to complex RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to overcome challenges in a timely and effective manner.
8. Experience in marketing, with the ability to create compelling proposal narratives.
9. Comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry.
10. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
11. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
