We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Protection Engineer to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This exciting role is crucial to our operations, as you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of our electrical systems and networks. You will be working with both renewable and conventional generation systems, ensuring NERC compliance, and conducting loop testing. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Protection Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Designing, implementing, and maintaining protection systems for both renewable and conventional generation systems.
2. Ensuring all systems and procedures are in compliance with NERC standards.
3. Conducting regular loop testing to ensure the integrity and safety of our electrical systems.
4. Designing and implementing protection hardware for a variety of applications.
5. Ensuring the safety and reliability of reactor protection systems.
6. Working with compensated lines, ensuring their proper function and safety.
7. Implementing and maintaining single pole tripping systems.
8. Using RSCAD and other software for system design and analysis.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Protection Engineer position should have the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
2. A minimum of 15 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry.
3. Extensive experience with both renewable and conventional generation systems.
4. Proven experience in ensuring NERC compliance.
5. Strong skills in loop testing and the use of related equipment.
6. Experience in designing and implementing protection hardware.
7. Knowledge and experience in reactor protection.
8. Experience working with compensated lines.
9. Knowledge and experience in single pole tripping.
10. Proficiency in using RSCAD and other system design and analysis software.
