The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing our purchasing activities and ensuring cost-effective operations. You will be tasked with overseeing the purchasing of goods and services, managing vendor relationships, and conducting cost analysis. Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to deliver ongoing cost reductions and process efficiency.
- Manage the entire process in the planning of procurement and supply chain activities, inventory control, logistics and distribution.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with our company's policies and procedures.
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand for services and products.
- Conduct regular vendor evaluations to ensure that our suppliers meet our standards of price, quality, delivery times and ethical sourcing practices.
- Analyze invoices to ensure correct products have been received at the agreed upon price and terms.
- Conduct cost analysis to set benchmarks for expenditure and monitor ongoing costs.
- Oversee residential construction purchasing and home building materials procurement.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts.
- Prepare detailed budgets and present cost reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Purchasing role, preferably within the Finance industry.
- Proven experience with Purchasing, Purchase Orders, Budgeting, Budgets, Cost Analysis, Material Purchasing, Monitoring materials and costs, Vendor Management.
- Experience in Residential Construction and Home Building is highly desirable.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of the market dynamics and sound business judgement.
- Ability to work well with a team and to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
