We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Purchasing Analyst for a permanent position within our manufacturing team. This exciting role is a hybrid position, offering a mix of remote and on-site work. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our purchasing processes, including PO coding, pricing, vendor management, and more. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our manufacturing process, ensuring that we have the materials we need, when we need them, at the best possible price.
Responsibilities:
As a Purchasing Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing process. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing all aspects of our purchasing process, including creating purchase orders (POs), coding POs, and resolving any PO discrepancies.
2. Negotiating with vendors to secure the best possible pricing for direct materials.
3. Managing vendor relationships, including conducting vendor approvals and handling any vendor-related issues.
4. Collaborating with our accounts payable department to ensure accurate and timely payment for purchased materials.
5. Analyzing purchasing data to identify trends, potential cost savings, and areas for improvement.
6. Working closely with other departments to forecast future material needs and ensure that we maintain adequate inventory levels.
7. Keeping up-to-date with market trends and changes that could impact our purchasing strategies.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a purchasing role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience with PO coding, pricing, vendor management, and other key aspects of the purchasing process.
3. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure the best possible pricing for materials.
4. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze purchasing data and make informed decisions.
5. Strong vendor management skills, including experience conducting vendor approvals.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly and effectively resolve PO discrepancies.
7. Solid understanding of accounts payable processes.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
9. Proficiency in relevant computer software, including Microsoft Office and any industry-specific applications.
