Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Purchasing Supervisor to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics manufacturing, purchasing, ordering materials, supply chain, ERP, MRP systems, quoteFx, VMI, JIT, continuous improvement, UPS, and FedEx. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Manage the purchasing process, including sourcing, negotiating, and ordering materials and supplies.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize inventory management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that purchasing activities support production schedules and customer demand.
  • Implement and maintain ERP and MRP systems to streamline purchasing processes and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Implement VMI and JIT programs to reduce inventory levels and improve cash flow.
  • Continuously improve purchasing processes and procedures to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Manage shipping and receiving activities, including UPS and FedEx shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in the electronics manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Experience with ERP and MRP systems, quoteFx, VMI, and JIT programs.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
