Job Details
We are on the lookout for a talented and experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic QA Automation team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team of experts in a fast-paced and innovative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks to support our software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and execute automated tests using Ruby and/or other programming languages to ensure the quality and functionality of our software applications.
2. Implement and maintain testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Capybara, or SitePrism
3. Conduct API testing and utilize tools like Rake, Faker, or FactoryBot to ensure the robustness of our software solutions.
4. Work closely with the development team to understand product specifications and create corresponding test plans.
5. Identify, log, and track defects, and work with the development team to resolve them in a timely manner.
6. Continuously improve our testing strategies and methodologies to enhance software quality and efficiency.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a SDET role or QA Automation role
2. Proficiency in Ruby or other programming languages like Python or JavaScript
3. Solid knowledge of OOP
4. Extensive experience with automated testing framework design, maintenance, and expansion. Work with Selenium, Capybara, or SitePrism is a plus.
5. Strong knowledge of API testing and tools like Rake, Faker, or FactoryBot is a plus
6. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
