We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Permanent QC Supervisor for our swing shift (8 hours), which begins at 11am. This role is pivotal in our manufacturing operations, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of quality control principles in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the QC team during the swing shift, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
2. Implement and enforce quality control standards and procedures, and ensure they are adhered to throughout the production process.
3. Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production line, identifying any issues or discrepancies and taking corrective action as necessary.
4. Train, mentor, and guide QC staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
5. Liaise with other departments, including production and engineering, to resolve quality issues and implement improvements.
6. Analyze quality control data and produce reports for management, highlighting trends, issues, and recommendations.
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
8. Participate in new product development, contributing to the design and implementation of quality control measures.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
2. Proven experience in quality control, with a strong understanding of QC principles and methodologies.
3. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
4. Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff at all levels.
6. Proficient in the use of quality control software and tools.
7. A relevant degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field would be advantageous.
8. Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
9. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
10. Flexibility to work the swing shift, starting at 11am.
