Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards.
2. Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites, materials, and workmanship to ensure adherence to company standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
3. Coordinate with project managers and construction teams to identify potential quality issues and develop solutions.
4. Oversee the commissioning process, ensuring all systems and components are designed, installed, tested, and operated according to the operational requirements of the owner.
5. Review and approve contractor submittals including shop drawings, product data, samples, test samples, QA/QC plans, and work plans.
6. Prepare comprehensive reports on quality control activities for management review.
7. Train and mentor staff in quality control procedures and best practices.
8. Handle any quality-related queries from team members and clients.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in quality control within mechanical construction/HVAC.
2. Previous experience within welding inspection and/or QC roles within piping, plumbing, or HVAC construction.
3. Proficient in relevant software such as MS Office and project management software.
4. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
5. Excellent understanding of quality standards and regulations in the construction industry.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong leadership and team management skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
