We are seeking a dynamic, highly skilled, and passionate Permanent Quality Engineer to join our Manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance. This role requires a deep understanding of quality control procedures and protocols, a strong technical acumen, and excellent problem-solving skills. The candidate must be experienced in PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis, Quality Control, Statistical Analysis, and Quality System.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, guidelines, and procedures in each product development phase.
2. Spearhead and manage APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) for new products and changes to existing products.
3. Conduct FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to identify potential product failure modes, assess risks, and formulate preventive actions.
4. Develop and maintain control plans, defining and optimizing inspection and testing procedures for products.
5. Conduct root cause analysis of product failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
6. Monitor and control the quality of products using statistical analysis to assess performance and identify trends and issues.
7. Develop, implement, and maintain the company's quality documentation, such as quality manuals, quality procedures, etc.
8. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction by resolving quality-related issues in a timely manner.
9. Participate in internal and external quality audits and ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Engineer role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience with PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis, Quality Control, Statistical Analysis, and Quality System.
4. Strong knowledge of quality assurance terminologies, methods, and tools.
5. Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
6. Demonstrable experience in data analysis and statistical interpretation.
7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
8. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
10. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) will be a plus.
