Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with program managers, engineers, and manufacturing to develop and implement quality assurance plans and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
2. Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
3. Utilize CAPA (Corrective and Preventative Action) processes to identify and resolve quality issues.
4. Monitor and report on quality performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
5. Manage nonconformances by identifying, documenting, and addressing deviations from established standards.
6. Lead problem-solving efforts relating to quality issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive effective solutions.
7. Ensure that all products are inspected and tested in accordance with quality control standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 6 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role, ideally within the aerospace or space industry.
4. Proficiency with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100.
5. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is preferred.
6. Strong knowledge and experience with Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, and handling nonconformances.
7. Proven experience conducting internal and external audits.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
9. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
10. Ability to analyze data and report on quality performance metrics.
11. Proficiency in using Quality Management Systems (QMS).
