We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Quality Engineer to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, with a focus on precision manufacturing and CNC operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality of products and processes, ensuring that they meet or exceed customer requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and methods for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
2. Perform routine analysis of product quality, identifying and addressing areas of improvement.
3. Utilize knowledge of CNC, Precision Manufacturing, Process Capability, SPC, Suppliers, and CMM to ensure optimal product quality.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are implemented and adhered to throughout the production process.
5. Conduct supplier audits, ensuring they meet our quality standards and specifications.
6. Perform root cause analysis for product non-conformances and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
7. Participate in the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEA.
8. Develop and implement a continuous quality improvement strategy in line with the company objectives.
9. Ensure compliance with all relevant quality, safety, and environmental regulations.
10. Train and guide staff on new processes and quality assurance protocols.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a quality engineering role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience with CNC, Precision Manufacturing, Process Capability, SPC, Suppliers, and CMM.
4. Strong understanding of quality assurance methods and techniques.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and efficiently.
8. In-depth knowledge of quality system models such as ISO9000, QS9000, or TL9000.
9. Proficient in the use of statistical analysis software and computer-assisted design (CAD) software.
10. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification is a plus.
