We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our engineering processes and products meet established quality standards. This is a crucial role that involves working closely with various departments to identify and rectify any issues that could impact product quality. The ideal candidate will be passionate about quality control and continuous improvement, with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of engineering principles.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the development and implementation of quality control procedures and plans.
2. Utilize statistical analysis software such as Minitab and JMP to analyze quality data and identify areas for improvement.
3. Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address the underlying causes of quality issues.
4. Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities.
5. Implement and manage change control processes.
6. Ensure compliance with AS/ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and other relevant quality standards.
7. Use precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers to inspect parts and assemblies.
8. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
9. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, LEAN Manufacturing, and DMAIC methodologies.
10. Oversee CNC operations, metal casting, and injection molding processes to ensure quality.
11. Use Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for precise measurements.
12. Prepare and present quality reports to management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality engineering role.
3. Proven experience with PPAP, APQP, and change management.
4. Solid knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Assurance principles.
5. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma and LEAN Manufacturing.
6. Familiarity with AS/ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and other relevant quality standards.
7. Proficiency in statistical analysis software such as Minitab and JMP.
8. Experience with root cause analysis techniques.
9. Ability to use precision measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
10. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
11. Experience with CNC operations, metal casting, and injection molding processes is a plus.
12. Familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
13. ASQ certification is a plus.
