We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Quality Inspector Lead to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This challenging yet rewarding role requires a dynamic individual who can oversee the quality control process, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection of products, calibration of equipment, and implementation of quality control measures. This position provides an opportunity to lead a team of quality inspectors, to interact with various departments, and to make significant contributions to our company’s success.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the Quality Inspection team.
2. Perform quality control inspections to ensure adherence to company and industry standards.
3. Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, faro, and Zeiss to inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
4. Develop and implement quality control procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy in inspection processes.
5. Train and mentor team members on quality control standards, inspection techniques, and use of precision measurement tools.
6. Manage the calibration of inspection equipment and tools to ensure accuracy in measurements and inspections.
7. Perform CMM Programming and mechanical inspection in accordance with AS9102 standards.
8. Understand and apply GD&T Fundamentals in the inspection process.
9. Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators including scrap monitoring, rework levels, and production efficiencies.
10. Work closely with production and engineering teams to provide feedback and solutions for quality issues.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality inspection role within the manufacturing industry, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
2. Proficient in AS9102, quality control, Calibration, CMM Programming, precision measurement, mechanical inspection, GD&T Fundamentals, faro, Zeiss, and calipers.
3. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
5. Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to mentor and motivate a team.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
8. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
10. Strong organizational and planning skills.
11. Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements.
