Job Details:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Quality Inspector to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position in the Engineering industry, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for inspecting and validating the quality of various engineering components including aerospace equipment, valves, pumps, and other mechanical systems. Your expertise in using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) will be highly valued in this role.

Responsibilities:

As a Quality Inspector, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Conducting detailed inspections of aerospace components, valves, pumps, and other mechanical systems to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
2. Operating and managing CMM to measure the physical geometric characteristics of a product.
3. Identifying and documenting any product quality issues, and working closely with the manufacturing team to rectify these issues in a timely manner.
4. Reviewing and verifying the accuracy of inspection reports and production documentation.
5. Participating in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and processes.
6. Assisting in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
7. Providing training and guidance to junior staff on quality control procedures and practices.
8. Continually monitoring all operations that affect quality and initiating corrective actions when necessary.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Quality Inspector position should have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Engineering or Manufacturing industry, with a specific focus on aerospace, valves, and pumps.
2. Proven experience in operating and managing CMM.
3. A strong understanding of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
4. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify defects or errors that could impact product quality.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on data analysis.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
7. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Control, or a related field is preferred.
8. Certification as a Quality Inspector from a recognized institution would be an added advantage.
