Responsibilities:
Qualifications
- Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring AS9100 and ITAR compliance.
- Lead internal and supplier audits, and oversee external certification activities.
- Develop and oversee inspection processes, including first article inspections (FAIs), corrective/preventive actions, and nonconformance management.
- Manage CMM inspection protocols or equivalent dimensional control systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and support New Product Introductions (NPI).
- Oversee Root Cause Analysis and drive corrective actions to resolve production or design-related quality issues.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (lean, 5S, process standardization) to enhance output quality, consistency, and efficiency.
- Ensure product traceability, documentation control (including BOMs), and maintain robust lot control systems.
- Drive quality-focused training programs for employees to reinforce quality culture across the organization.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in a quality engineering or management role, experience in aerospace and/or defense manufacturing required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of AS9100 and ITAR requirements (preferred).
- Experience deploying and managing quality systems such as FAIs, audit protocols, CAPA, and traceability controls.
- Familiarity with dimensional inspection tools.
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documentation, including engineering drawings and GD&T.
