We are a leading engineering firm seeking an experienced and dedicated Permanent Quality Manager. This role requires a dynamic professional who can implement control plans, APQP PPAP, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Root Cause. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role and be bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Quality Manager, you will be responsible for leading the quality assurance team and overseeing the implementation of our quality management system.

1. Develop, implement, and maintain control plans, ensuring that all products meet our rigorous quality standards.
2. Coordinate and manage APQP and PPAP activities, including process mapping, FMEA, control plan, and process validation.
3. Lead Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve process efficiency and reduce waste.
4. Facilitate Kaizen events to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
5. Conduct Root Cause Analysis to identify and address the underlying causes of non-conformities or defects.
6. Train and mentor staff on quality control and process improvement methodologies.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the product life cycle.
8. Communicate fluently in both English and Spanish to effectively manage a diverse team and liaise with international partners.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need a combination of technical skills, leadership ability, and a commitment to quality.

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in quality management within the engineering industry.
3. Proven experience in implementing control plans, APQP, PPAP, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Root Cause.
4. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
6. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
8. Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or similar certification would be an advantage.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
