Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Lead internal layered audits and coordinate internal/external process compliance
  • Guide APQP and supplier quality efforts, including PPAP submissions and scorecard reviews
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys) and support CAPA initiatives
  • Manage inbound/outbound inspections, nonconforming product returns, containment, and MRB actions
  • Support ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems, including customer and regulatory audits
  • Develop and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, work instructions, inspection instructions, and visual aids
  • Liaise directly with U.S. and Chinese teams regarding quality performance and escalations
  • Maintain and communicate plant-level quality metrics and departmental metrics
  • Mentor cross-functional teams on compliance, problem solving, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Experience in automotive manufacturing
  • Knowledge of metrology, GD&T, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, 8D, IATF 16949, and ISO 9001
  • Excellent root-cause analysis, communication, and customer interface skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Comfortable with administrative duties (70–75%) and holding desktop-based warranty support

Nice to Haves

  • Bilingual abilities (English/Chinese or Spanish)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality or Engineering - OR minimum 4 years of relevant Quality Engineering experience
  • Previous experience working with international locations and cross-border communication
