We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Permanent Rad Tech to join our dynamic and fast-paced medical team. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide top-tier medical services. The candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of radiologic procedures, including mammography. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about patient care and is committed to providing high-quality diagnostic images.
Responsibilities
1. Perform a variety of radiographic procedures, including mammography, in compliance with established protocols.
2. Operate and maintain all radiographic equipment, ensuring its proper functionality.
3. Ensure patient safety during the procedures, adhering to radiation safety measures.
4. Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns or questions.
5. Collaborate with radiologists to evaluate the quality of images and determine if additional images are needed.
6. Maintain accurate patient records, including patient histories and diagnostic information.
7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
8. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior radiologic technologists and students.
Qualifications
1. Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
2. Must hold a current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
3. Must have certification in mammography.
4. Proficient in the operation and maintenance of radiographic equipment.
5. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to explain complex procedures to patients.
6. Strong understanding of radiation safety and protection.
7. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
10. Must be flexible with work schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.
