A bit about us:
Our Firm is an alternative investment platform based in Raleigh, NC. The Firm manages a Southeast focused Real Estate investment strategy and a Private Credit and Equity strategy. The Firm currently manages three funds focused on directly originated real estate investments in the Southeast and two funds focused on directly originated private credit and equity investments in lower middle market companies.
The Private Credit & Equity Associate position will be dedicated to the Firm’s Private Credit & Equity strategy. The Firm is actively investing from a $200 million Private Credit & Equity Fund (2022 vintage). The Fund seeks to make investments in companies with $2 million or more of earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (“EBITDA”) via term debt and minority equity securities.

Job Description: Private Credit & Equity Associate
The Associate position is designed as a full-time position with an initial term of two years. The Associate will be a member of the investment team and will assist in the evaluation and execution of new investments. Additionally, the Associate will be asked to assist with management of the portfolio, including review and analysis of performance and communication with other team members and investment partners on a regular basis.

The Associate should have the following qualifications and experience:
The Associate position is designed as a full-time position with an initial term of two years. Specific responsibilities of the position will include but are not limited to the following:
- Screening and evaluating potential new investment opportunities
- Conducting in-depth business due diligence, including qualitative and quantitative analyses and industry research
- Drafting investment memoranda and presentations
- Building leveraged buyout models
- Monitoring portfolio company performance, including reviewing monthly financials and assisting with quarterly valuations
- Assisting with various organizational, strategic, and operational projects
Qualifications:

- Proficiency in financial statement analysis

The Associate should have the following qualifications and experience:
- 1-3 years of post undergraduate work experience in the fields of private credit and equity, accounting, finance, investment banking, or consulting
- Bachelor’s Degree with a strong record of academic achievement
