We are actively seeking a dynamic, experienced, and dedicated Permanent Real Estate Associate to join our team in the Legal industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 4+ years of experience in real estate law, particularly in dealing with Delaware Statutory Trusts (DSTs). You will be working in a fast-paced environment, providing legal advice and services to a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from real estate developers, investors, and other entities.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive legal advice on a wide range of real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, and development.
2. Draft, negotiate, and review complex real estate agreements, contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
3. Conduct thorough legal research and due diligence to support real estate transactions.
4. Provide expert advice on Delaware Statutory Trusts (DSTs), including formation, operation, and dissolution.
5. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement effective strategies for managing real estate legal matters.
6. Represent clients in real estate disputes and litigation, if necessary.
7. Stay updated on current laws and regulations related to real estate and DSTs, and inform clients about any changes that may affect their interests.
8. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with reliable, professional, and timely service.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the Illinois State Bar.
3. Minimum of 4 years of experience in real estate law, with a strong focus on Delaware Statutory Trusts (DSTs).
4. Proven track record of successfully handling complex real estate transactions.
5. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
6. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to represent clients' interests effectively.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
9. High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
10. Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
