Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee all real estate legal matters, including commercial transactions, purchase and sale agreements, title reviews, and closings.
2. Provide expert advice on land use, zoning, and other real estate-related legal issues.
3. Handle a variety of legal tasks related to criminal law, litigation, probate, and estate planning.
4. Assist with entity formation, contract drafting, and operating agreements.
5. Provide counsel on business law and corporate law matters.
6. Represent the company in legal proceedings, if necessary.
7. Conduct thorough legal research and write detailed legal reports and documents.
8. Negotiate contracts and other agreements on behalf of the company.
9. Ensure compliance with all state, local, and federal laws and regulations.
10. Collaborate with other members of the legal team to develop effective strategies for managing legal issues.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the Illinois Bar.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Real Estate Attorney.
4. Extensive knowledge of real estate law, business law, and corporate law.
5. Proven experience in commercial transactions, purchase and sale agreements, title reviews, and closings.
6. Experience in land use, zoning, criminal law, litigation, probate, and estate planning.
7. Skilled in entity formation, contract drafting, and operating agreements.
8. Excellent negotiation skills.
9. Strong legal research and writing abilities.
10. Proficiency in contract law.
11. Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
13. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
14. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
15. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
