Position Description
The Closer position is responsible for ensuring all transaction closings are packaged, prepared, and delivered in an accurate, timely and professional manner. The Closer processes real estate settlements including purchase money, refinance, commercial and additional loan products. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.

JOB DUTIES:
  • Coordinate real estate closing transactions by determining requirements, ensuring titles are free of encumbrances and working with all related parties to ensure readiness for closing
  • Prepares transaction documents for closing by collecting and reviewing documents, completing forms and statements, packaging loans and disbursing funds for settlements
  • Act as the primary Closing Department point of contact as the file moves into and through the final preparation stage of the settlement. Professional interactions are required with lenders (originators, processors and/or funders), disbursing agents, real estate agents, and other internal and external company representatives.
  • Accountable for checking documents for completeness and accuracy and producing the transaction-related financials including Closing Disclosures and HUD-1 statements.
  • Responsible for ensuring loan closings are completed accurately, including guiding other staff members as required to comply with lender settlement conditions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • The ideal candidate will have a background in the real estate industry, preferably within a law firm, settlement, or title company in a transaction closing role
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience working both independently and in team-oriented, collaborative environments • Understanding of the usage of technology to drive superior vendor and operational performance (Qualia or SoftPro-Select strongly preferred)
  • Customer orientation/sensitivity and professionalism which is crucial to building and maintaining relationships
  • Ability to accurately analyze and resolve problems while understanding and mitigating risk to both the customer and the company
  • Ability to use sound independent judgment in making immediate decisions that impact client relationships
  • Ability to be deadline sensitive and able to manage multiple priorities to meet commitments without sacrificing quality
