We are on the lookout for a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced Real Estate Equity Associate Attorney to join our esteemed legal firm. The successful candidate will be tasked with handling a broad array of sophisticated real estate equity transactions, including but not limited to, acquisitions, dispositions, financings, joint ventures, fund formation, and portfolio management.

Responsibilities:

1. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of complex commercial real estate and private equity documents, including purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, loan documents, joint venture agreements, and fund documents.
2. Providing legal advice and guidance on real estate equity transactions, including structuring, negotiation, due diligence, and closing.
3. Participating in complex litigation cases, including class actions, and offering strategic advice to clients.
4. Ensuring compliance with securities laws and regulations related to real estate equity transactions.
5. Conducting thorough contract reviews and providing expert analysis and interpretation of contractual terms and conditions.
6. Collaborating with other attorneys and professionals to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
7. Staying abreast of current trends, practices, and legislation in real estate law, securities law, and related areas.
8. Representing the firm and clients in legal proceedings, drafting legal documents, and advising clients on legal transactions.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top-tier law school is required.
2. Active membership in the Illinois State Bar.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing attorney with a focus on real estate equity transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, joint ventures, fund formation, and portfolio management.
4. Proven experience in complex litigation, including class actions and commercial litigation.
5. Demonstrated experience in contract review, interpretation, and negotiation.
6. Proficient understanding of securities law as it pertains to real estate equity transactions.
7. Experience working in an AmLaw 50 firm or equivalent
8. Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
10. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
11. High level of professional ethics and integrity.
