Responsibilities:
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial real estate lease documents, including leases, amendments, assignments, subleases, terminations, and other related documents.
Counsel clients on commercial leasing matters, including lease interpretation, dispute resolution, and compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
Conduct due diligence reviews and provide strategic advice on potential real estate transactions.
Collaborate with the broader legal team on cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and their interests are protected.
Stay up-to-date on current trends and changes in real estate law, sharing knowledge and insights with the team.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
License to practice law in the state.
At least 5 years of experience as a real estate attorney, with a focus on commercial leasing.
Proven experience in handling complex real estate transactions.
Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
