Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation cases from onset through post trial. Ascertaining calendaring and deadline management.
  • Conduct research to support legal proceedings and to assist attorneys.
  • Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and settlement agreements.
  • Oversee and coordinate all details before, during and after the trial.
  • Organize evidence and other legal documents for attorney review and case preparation.
  • Draft correspondence and legal pleadings.
  • Conduct investigations and statistical/documentary research.
  • Locate and develop case relevant information.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Record and store client information – often via a case management software system.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Real Estate Litigation Paralegal.
  • Paralegal certification or degree from an accredited school or university.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of litigation management software systems is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent research skills and attention to detail.
  • Must have a strong understanding of real estate closings, contract of sale, reviewing title reports, clearing title issues, preparing and responding to disclosure demands, and preparing motions.
  • Strong understanding of state and federal court rules, calendaring, e-filing, and trial procedures.
