We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. As a permanent member of our firm, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of complex and high-stakes commercial litigation cases. Responsibilities:
  • Take and defend depositions: You will be responsible for conducting and defending depositions, gathering crucial information and evidence to support our clients' cases. Your strong communication skills and ability to think critically will be essential in this role.
  • Prepare and respond to discovery: You will be tasked with preparing and responding to discovery requests, ensuring that all relevant documents and information are properly disclosed. Your attention to detail and thoroughness will be crucial in this aspect of the job.
  • Draft and argue motions: You will be responsible for drafting various motions, including motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, and motions in limine. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to argue these motions in court, showcasing your excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Prepare for mediations and trial: You will play a key role in preparing for mediations and trial, assisting in the development of case strategies and conducting thorough research to support our clients' positions. Your ability to analyze complex legal issues and present persuasive arguments will be essential in this aspect of the job.
  • Write effectively: As a Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney, you will be expected to write concise and persuasive legal briefs, memos, and other documents. Your strong writing skills and attention to detail will be critical in effectively advocating for our clients.
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills: You will be responsible for effectively communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders throughout the litigation process. Your ability to think critically and strategically will be vital in developing innovative legal solutions and achieving favorable outcomes for our clients.
  • Civil Litigation experience: You must have a strong background in civil litigation, with experience handling a variety of cases including real estate, contract, employment, construction litigation, directors and officers liability, and general liability. Your expertise in these areas will be essential in successfully representing our clients' interests.
  • Member in Good Standing, The Florida Bar: You must be a member in good standing of The Florida Bar, possessing a deep understanding of Florida's legal system and procedures. Your knowledge of local laws and regulations will be crucial in effectively navigating the complexities of commercial litigation in Florida.
  • 5-10 years commercial litigation experience: You must have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a commercial litigation attorney, with a proven track record of success in handling complex and high-stakes cases. Your extensive experience and expertise will be invaluable in providing strategic guidance and achieving favorable outcomes for our clients.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Member in Good Standing, The Florida Bar
  • 5-10 years of experience as a commercial litigation attorney
  • Strong knowledge and experience in civil litigation, including real estate, contract, employment, construction litigation, directors and officers liability, and general liability
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proven track record of success in handling complex and high-stakes commercial litigation cases
