Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted business advisor
Drive business development efforts and contribute to the firm’s growth strategy
Mentor and collaborate with colleagues, fostering a collegial team environment
- Advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, sales, financings, leasing, and development of commercial properties
- Manage all aspects of complex real estate transactions from structuring to closing
- Handle commercial office and retail leasing matters
- Lead negotiations and draft key transactional agreements and documents
- Conduct and oversee title, survey, environmental, and entity-level real estate due diligence
- Support clients with development projects, including entitlement, zoning, and tax issues as applicable
- Play an integral role with business development and the firm's succession plan

Job Details
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of experience practicing commercial real estate law
- Portable book of business required
- Demonstrated expertise in a wide range of real estate transactional work, including leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, development, lending, and financing
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage and close sophisticated transactions independently
- Excellent writing and oral communication abilities
- Self-starter with exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence to build and maintain client relationships
- Admission to the bar in Illinois or Colorado, or eligibility to waive in (open to relocation candidates meeting these criteria)
