Based in the Houston area, we are seeking a Supply Chain Analyst for a 6 month contract to join our team in the Energy industry. We make the products that fuel everyday life. We refine, transport and market motor fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals, and other industrial products. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a significant impact on the energy sector by improving supply chain processes. The successful candidate will work hand-in-hand with our team to optimize large complex data systems in our supply chain operations and contribute to our overall business strategy.

Job Details
Data Modeling: Develop and execute SQL queries, build statistical and ML models in Python, and analyze data to uncover key drivers of organizational savings.
Data Analytics: Perform deep-dive analyses to support financial and operational decisions, collaborating with IT and other departments for advanced data insights.
Process Optimization: Travel to refinery and operational sites, partner with field teams to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, shadow crews, champion business change initiatives and drive successful implementation of improvements that deliver lasting impact.
Automation: Design RPA solutions using Power Automate and Azure, integrating AI to streamline supply chain tasks and empower teams to focus on efficiency and innovation.
Visualizations & Reporting: Team up with cross-functional partners to set goals and metrics, creating Power BI dashboards that provide actionable supply chain intelligence.
Project Management: Document project requirements and milestones, maintaining high standards of quality and robust contingency plans to support successful delivery
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Analytics and Data Science, Supply Chain Management or related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and derive insights from data
Shows responsibility by taking ownership of tasks, practicing efficient time management, and following through on commitments. Confidently addresses challenges, holds themselves and others accountable
Proficiency with data analysis and automation tools (Advanced Excel, SQL Queries, Power BI, Power Automate, Python, etc.)
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders
Knowledge of supply chain processes and optimization methodologies (preferred but not required)
