Job Details
We are seeking a Regional Assistant Controller to support and oversee financial operations for multiple manufacturing business units across the U.S. and Canada. This role partners closely with the Regional Controller and senior leadership, with a strong emphasis on technical accounting, revenue recognition, and financial reporting within a complex, multi‑site manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial operations for assigned manufacturing sites in the U.S. and Canada
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data, reporting, and month‑end close processes
- Lead revenue recognition activities in accordance with ASC 606, including complex, multi‑element and contract‑based arrangements
- Support technical accounting assessments, including contract reviews, accounting position memos, and audit support
- Partner with operations and engineering teams to understand cost structures, production flows, and financial impacts
- Oversee cost accounting activities including standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and manufacturing reserves
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities across multiple sites
- Prepare and present financial reports and insights to regional and global leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting teams across both onsite and remote locations
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and internal controls
- Support internal and external audits and maintain strong control environments
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support strategic decision making
- Perform other duties as assigned by finance leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA license required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in complex, technical, or electronics‑based manufacturing strongly preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in revenue recognition under ASC 606, including long‑term or contract‑based revenue models
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing financial controls
- Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors
- ERP system experience required; SYSPRO experience is a plus
- Proven leadership experience managing and developing both onsite and remote teams
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
