Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing all financial and accounting operations within the HVAC division, including the development and management of budgets, preparation of financial statements, and reporting.
2. Implementing and monitoring internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal regulatory and company policies and procedures.
3. Providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions and/or mergers, and pension funds and investments.
4. Coordinating, preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
5. Coordinating and/or preparing tax schedules, returns and information.
6. Managing relationships with insurance providers and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
7. Overseeing the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including organizational revenue/expense and balance sheet reports.
8. Monitoring banking activities of the organization.
9. Ensuring adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs.
10. Serving as a liaison between the company and various institutional and private sources of financial support.
Qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. A CPA, CMA, or other financial certifications will be considered an asset.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, preferably within the HVAC industry.
3. Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
4. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems, as well as federal and state financial regulations.
5. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
6. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to communicate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels of the organization.
8. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel.
