The Regional Sales Director provides and develops the regional sales strategy and leadership for specific geographic area footprint. Responsible for development of regional plan and manages strategic growth activities and provides guidance to the business unit, customer service, and manufacturer sales representative firms in his assigned region. As a member of the senior management team, the Regional Sales Director will also play a key role in the development and expansion of profitable sales to the organization.

Job Details

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Build long-term Sales strategy for specific customers in alignment with our vision, mission, and values
Clearly define of our competitive advantage and value proposition for regional customers
Establish and strengthen customer relationships, including the identification of focus products and accounts as well as customer rationalization
Identify product line opportunities and work with engineering and manufacturing to integrate with our technology roadmap
Build and maintain a competitive analysis
Manage our manufacturer representative firm’s specific to regional account site locations.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Demonstrated sales leadership driving high performance sales initiatives and long term strategic growth.
Extensive experience in increasing profitable sales revenue within a defined customer base or region.
Complete understanding of profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
Ability to manager both internal and external sales resources to build a cohesive sales plan within a geographic region.
Strong written (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and oral communication skills.
Experience and knowledge of the medical device, medical equipment, military/aerospace industries and regional customers
Strong understanding of operations including: materials management, manufacturing, and quality & regulatory
